Searching for our Permanent Home (Hill edition)

Over the past six years, we have been faithfully and steadfastly praying for God to lead us to the right home; the right opportunity to plant seeds in the ground.  To partner with Him and prayerfully breathe life into this vision that began all the way back in 2013.

During this period of time, we have viewed vacant land, several homes and made offers on the very few that we felt would work well for this ministry.  Our greatest desire is, to serve children and their families.  We have been humble and willing to work with anything God was willing to provide.  To that end, we have seen some properties that were in pretty terrible condition but that doesn’t scare us.  We aren’t afraid of hard work and no one will ever accuse us of lacking vision.

At the time, it felt like this house was the ‘one that got away’.  It featured 48 acres and a rushing brook that truly spoke to our hearts.  We could see this home being brought back to life, filled with laughter and light.  An inviting space for our guests to enjoy along with plenty of opportunities for outdoor fun and adventures.  We bid on the house as much as we thought would make sense given it’s significant needs for renovation.  As is often the case in the ultra-competitve New Hampshire real estate market, we were outbid.  The winning bid wasn’t even significantly higher but there was only one opportunity to submit our highest and best offer.  We certainly wish the new owners well.

As you can see in the photos, this place will need a LOT of work.
